Created to support and uplift the local community, the Prajava Gama Foundation connects the world of travel with the needs and talents of the villages around us. Our focus is on creating meaningful, long-term opportunities for local families — especially those from Mawella’s fishing community — to thrive within the tourism industry.

We are committed to protecting the delicate ecosystem of Mawella Bay — not only for our guests to enjoy, but for the generations who will call this coastline home.

Key environmental efforts:

  • Ongoing Biodiversity Studies – supporting research and conservation initiatives
  • Local Ecosystem Education – engaging the community in sustainable practices
  • CNVR Dog Program – sponsoring care, vaccinations, and neutering for Mawella’s beach dog population

Many of the products used in our kitchen and bar come directly from the families supported by the Prajava Gama Foundation. From fresh-baked bread and jams to natural soaps and snacks, dining here is a way to directly support the community — and taste the results of collective care.

We’re not just serving food — we’re sharing stories, values, and a way forward for tourism that’s truly local.
